Engaged Scholar Writing Retreat

September 6 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Free

Are you teaching an engaged pedagogy such as service-learning, community-based research, or participatory action research and working to advance your scholarship? Does your research include community partners? Do you want to explore ways to connect with others who are also working on community-engaged scholarship? Join North Carolina faculty in this one-day writing retreat for engaged scholars. The retreat includes time for writing as well as discussions on project topics and writing strategies. Bring a writing project that you want to work on, at any stage of completion. You’ll make progress on it while participating in a writing community. Sponsored by North Carolina Campus Compact.

Facilitator: Dr. Jennifer Ahern-Dodson, 2018-19 Engaged Faculty Scholars, Director of the Duke Faculty Write Program.

Registration is now full but we are creating a waiting list for future retreats. Please email Rene Summers to receive updates on future retreats.

If you are registered and have questions about the retreat, contact jahern {at} duke(.)edu.
